Winter Items

October is ending, and that means winter is right around the corner. Last week we featured non-reimbursable items to make your job easier. Now we want to feature some of the basics…winter uniform items that every letter carrier should have!

Now let’s take a look at the categories that all you letter carriers need to consider as winter approaches.

Outerwear: Our jackets, parkas, vests, and more are very important to facing the winter weather. We have jackets with zip-out liner, so these jackets can be used in all seasons. Check out heavy and waterproof jackets that are meant to withstand the cold and snow. We even have waterproof postal pants! Your outerwear is essential, so think carefully before choosing the item that is right for you.

Hats: When the temperatures fall it is important to protect your ears and head from the cold. Hats are essential whether it is to protect you from falling snow, or simply the biting temperatures. We have several different styles that are ideal for working in winter, including one hat that comes with a facemask.

Gloves: We have a large selection of gloves for you to choose from to get you through winter. We have thick, bulky gloves to get you through the coldest times, and thinner but still effective ones for slightly more mild temperatures. Keep fingers and hands both warm and dry. Frostbite can set in quickly, so having the proper hand protection is essential.

Men’s & Women’s Boots: The right footwear is important for any letter carrier, no matter what time of year it is. That is particularly true in winter, when snow and ice can make travel hazardous. Our various designs will keep your feet warm and comfortable all winter long! Follow the links to check out our various styles.
